I cry about Nine a lot
Thank you so much!! I’m having a lot of fun with it! You can see my liveblog tag on my main :) I just finished Planet of the Giants and loved it. There’s some pacing issues in these early episodes, but I’ve enjoyed them.
From a production standpoint I think they’re fascinating. I love watching low-budget shows cause they are forced to be really ingenious about their resources! Like the ice cave in The Keys of Marinus that’s actually all made of saran wrap. And how they keep the background dark so they don’t actually have to show the whole set. It’s really interesting!
As for the characters, I LOVE this Tardis team! Susan is absolutely precious (yeah, she cries a lot, but honestly she’s a baby by time lord standards, and when she’s being proactive she’s LOVELY) Ian and Barbara are amazing and I’m shipping it hahaha.
The First Doctor is fascinating??? He’s hilarious. He’d still be great even if regeneration wasn’t a thing and this was the only installment of the show, but knowing that he’s actually really young in this context makes it even better. He looks and acts like a grumpy old man but he’s really more of a petulant child. I love how indignant he gets with Ian and how affectionate he is towards Susan.
I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT THESE FOUR. They’re probably gonna be the next for me to draw!!
Clockwork Couture, a steampunk shop in Burbank, is hosting an event on March 15th called the Art of the TARDIS Craft Faire, and I have just gotten an email today confirming I was accepted as one of the vendors!!
So if you want to have a FUN TIME with COOL PEOPLE and acquire BOUNTIFUL MERCHANDISE you should totally come over and see me!! I’m gonna be selling buttons!! And maybe prints if I have the time to prepare some but that’s not a guarantee.
Uhm, also, they said we have to provide our own tables, so if any friends out there have one I can borrow for one day, I’d be grateful for the help ;w;
Reblogging from my main to let you all know I’ll be attending this event!! If you like my art and live near Burbank please consider dropping by and seeing what I’ve got :D
For those unable to attend, I will be opening a button shop on storenvy soon enough!
Layout. A bigger/more detailed version of the second one from this post. It’s rather loosely based on a picture that I took in Buraco do Padre, Brazil.
